We hope to bring a unique voice and fresh perspective to the gaming industry and strive to inspire and engage gamers from all walks of life with diverse and relatable characters, immersive storylines, impactful themes, and smart gameplay mechanics. These values and principles are not just present in our work life and company culture, but also bleed into the overall development for Kristala, a Soulslike Dark Fantasy ARPG featuring anthropomorphic feline and rodent characters and set in a fantasy world that’s completely devoid of humanity.Įach clan of felines and faction of rodents featured in Kristala possesses its own unique culture, specialties, traits, and skills-all of which represent key differences that are not only focal points of the game, but also serve as the driving force behind Kristala’s core themes and primary storyline. We encourage an “open door” atmosphere, free from judgement, that celebrates the vast and diverse cultures our team members represent and bring to our family. The Astral Clocktower culture and key pillars are centered around celebrating diversity, equality, and inclusion in the traditionally male-dominated gaming space. Of this wildly talented team, over 30% identify as female, and our female members oversee and lead over 70% of the individual areas of development for the studio-including Production, Game Design, Level Design, Narrative Design, and Marketing. While not the original version, this is a much easier and faster game, and should stay preserved for completionist sake. Founded in 2018 by Alexis Brutman, Tiffany Gomez, and Sarah Schaffstall, the ACS development team has since grown into a rich, robust, and diverse family of over 30 creators hailing from all over the world. Here we have an alternate version of the Clock Tower game, with several difficulty options. Astral Clocktower Studios is a women-owned independent game development studio based in the Northeast US.
